Do you suppose there exists, somewhere in the great wide world, a cookbook which calls for its recipes to be “well-browned” or “delicately burnt”?
I would feel greatly affirmed by such a cookbook. Alas, my poor family!
A generous friend recently gave me the book To Bless the Space Between Us by John O’Donahue.
I was grateful for her thoughtfulness, and started reading it right away. I was taken aback, and wrote a critique, intending to post it here. I decided instead that a two-line summary would be sufficient, so here it is: John O’Donahue, I earnestly pray that God rests your soul and that we merrily meet in heaven. Your book though, is largely rubbish.
