“Mom – have some Sh’os?”
“You want some Cheerios? Here you go.”
“Mom – have some fokes?”
“Forks? Mmm – how about a spoon?”
Here’s our two-year-old, eating his favorite food in all the world, dry Cheerios, with a spoon:
His speech may sound a bit primitive, even for a two-year-old. But later on in the afternoon in the living room, he said, “Mom! Check this out!” He climbed up onto the arm of the sofa and leaped off. “I’m jumping!” Jumping onto, on, or off of furniture is strictly verboten, so after that he satisfied himself with jumping up and down. But I was impressed by his language skills.
I hope you all have a good Holy Week. See you at Easter.
