Lowering the bar

Do you suppose there exists, somewhere in the great wide world, a cookbook which calls for its recipes to be “well-browned” or “delicately burnt”?

I would feel greatly affirmed by such a cookbook. Alas, my poor family!

    Had to laugh! I burned a whole pan of onions and peppers just yesterday. Fortunately got to it before the smoke stage, but only just.
